i have just started my own building company after working for my fathers company for 22 years and thought this would be a good way of getting work

- This is like doing site work, expect too much from you too cheap, unless you specialise in something different, or have 10 manned vehicles at your disposal, it is unlikely to benefit you, AND they take an awful long time to pay.
- Write to the individual insurance companies - like Legal & General, Norwich Union etc etc. Mark your letter for the attention of the Underwriters/Risk Assessment Department and advise them that you would like to know how to get on their panel for insurance work. Also, try approaching local property maintenance companies, estate agents and letting agents - they need people to carry out routine work for their landlords.
- The easiest way is to Contact yourt local and friendly Independent insurance agent. Ask the to get you a list and phone/Fax #'s of the insurance claims offices for each company. And better yet if he is YOUR agent have him/her write a letter of recommendation oon your behalf and send it with your resume.
