Need contractors insurance for small scale residential work?
How much should I expect to pay? Insurance seems a little bit intimidating

- There's no way to give you an idea of the premium, since it depends on where you are, where you work, if you use subs, what limits you want, etc. etc.
- Well, small scale is relative. If you're subbing out ANYTHING, expect the GL to start at $2,000. If you do any roofing or exterior work, expect the GL to start at $2,000. Workers comp, for any exterior, is going to start at $1500, and for interior, $500 depending on what you do. If you have any employees, or any uninsured subcontractors, it's going to be higher - maybe a lot higher. A local, independent agent can sit down and explain all this to you. BUT, a word of warning - all these policies are AUDITABLE, so be sure you're comparing the RATE, not the PREMIUM.
- I can quote you over the phone email me your number and the time to call. Steve@PatriotFS.com
