Can a 17 year old become an independent contractor in network marketing?
IRS Q&A on independent contractor vs. employee gives a specific example of a News paper company being able to have independent contractors under the age of 18 as carriers and distributors of their papers.

- It depends. Most network marketing opportunities will require the signing of some form of contract or legally binding documents. In most states this requires the signer and/or presentor to be of legal age (18 years old in most states). The network marketing company you are looking at should and must be able to provide you with this information. Chris http://www.chrisandpatricia.info/
