GLASS CONTRACTORS - How much to replace a single pane glass about 2ft x 3ft in a window?
I got quotes from several places, lowest bid was $85. It's from a guy who works at a glass company, this is his special price "just for me" since I contacted him directly. He said normally the cost would be $145 if I went through the company. All other bids were over $100, this guy was the lowest at $85. This still seems high to me for a piece of glass + labor. What do you think?

- I think you better deal with a reputable glazer. Slick Willie, the glass man, may get you both into trouble.
- HOW MUCH?????????????Lmao!!! Boy did that guy see you coming. What kind of window are we talking about here??? A 2' x 3' piece of glass should cost no more than like $10 or so at Home Depot and the rest of what you need would cost less than $5 ...
- LMAO at last guy. How much would you charge to cut the glass, deliver, and install. What is your time worth? How long would it take you? How far? How much gas? You would save the money to do it yourself..... Not always as easy as it seems
- Do you have any idea how easy a job this is? Either go to a home improvement web site or buy a book on home repairs. A piece of glass, cut to size, won't be more than $10.00, a container of glazing compound less than $5, and a package of glaziers points $.69. 20 minutes work. The prices you got were fair, if you won't do it yourself.
