Windows with grids vs Windows without?

I have four windows in the front of my house, which have grids in them. All my new windows will have grids in them also, my contractor advised me that if we choose to go for the windows without grids they can replace the four at no additional cost. Is there a big difference between the two types of windows?

1. It is just a matter of preference and style. More traditional styles usually have muttins. Contemporary styles do not.
2. They are decrative only.You will have to call the shot.
