Should I hire a general contractor for my second flip?
On my first flip my general contractor was a disaster. It seems to me that there whole job is hiring sub contractors and charging me for making the call. I have the time to be at the job to make sure things are being done. I want to make this my career. Should i jump in, or should I have a little more experiance?

- I jumped in after my first flip. I figured that I had three degrees, could hire subcontractors myself, be the on-site supervisor making certain everything got done on schedule, handle the problems, come up with the solutions that were right for me and save money all at the same time. Glad I did, I retired at 38, learned a lot along the way, but did it my way and made and saved money doing it. Good luck and Go for it!
- as a home owner you can pull a permit and hire the subs you want, thereby passing up the contractor that is charging you extra for everything. your the boss and can be on the site to oversee everything. plus learn by watching also.
