What documents are you entitled to from your hired general contractor?
We need all documents pertaining to a house fire, everyone the contractor talked to, bills paid, permits paid for, who they subcontracted with etc. Are we entiled to everything they have in their files?

- If you entered into a Lump Sum Contract, based on a Lump Sum Bid, I don't think you're entitled to any more than the Contractor wants to tell/provide to you. You might be entitled to a list of subcontractors.
- Depends. Are you involved in litigation? If you are, you can probably get them through a subpoena. If not, they don't have to do anything, unless there was a clause in your agreement that requires them to. Consider narrowing your request to a list of subcontractors and call them yourself. Your more likely to get their cooperation.
