I need to know the price per square foot a painting contractor would charge in California?

2. well here in PA, we dont price it by foot. This is how we do it, either by room or by the job. example......new construction 1st you prime the walls and ceiling then you paint your finish coat. now if this is the case for you it should run $75.00 a room for the primer and then another $75.00 a room for the finish coat. this is base on a single color, so the ceiling and walls are all the same color. this is also base on a average room size...12 x 16. now if your painting the cieling white and the walls an off color add another $50.00 to the cost. So basic price would be $150.00 or $200.00 if 2 colors. So if your house has a kitchen, dinning, living, 2 bath 3 bed room your looking at $1,200.00 to $1,600.00 this is with a roller and paint brush. another way with new construction is to just come in and use an air less paint sprayer and have a guy back roll everything right behind you. in this case for the same above should run you about $2,000.00 to $2,500.00 hope this helps
