Whats the difference between a Comcast independent contractor and a regular comcast employee?
I was given the number to a comcast independent contractor when I moved into my apartment the other day. Should I call the independent contractor or the regular comcast 1 800 #.

- An Independent Contractor does work for them, but Comcast has very little say over their work requirements. They do not get the benefits of regular salaried employees and they receive 1099 forms instead of W2's at the end of the year. If you're wondering whether you should trust the person to hook up your cable/internet, probably nothing to worry about but I would call Comcast direct to get it set up. They'll probably send the same person out to hook it up but at least that way you know it's not some scammer.
