Home Improvement Contractor - Licensed Contractors

I worked as an Independent Contractor, how do I claim this on my taxes?

I worked as an independent contractor and was paid $891. I am unsure of how I am to claim this income on my taxes. I have other jobs and this was just on the side. Do I need to fill out a special form? Or do I just claim it on a line on the tipical form? Just confused is all.

  1. If you have expenses of earning this income, report it on Schedule C, else use the Other income line near the bottom of page 1, Form 1040. In either instance, you will need to pay the Self employment tax computed on Form 1040, Scheduloe SE.
