Replacement windows botched by a reputable home store! The contractors took out all of the brick molding. ?
The contractors sent by this home improvement store didn't know what they were doing. They ordered the wrong size windows. Instead of ordering the proper windows, they ripped out all of the framing and brick molding. Any suggestions how these windows can be put back properly? To make matters worse, some of the windows they put in were damaged. We have plastic over our windows and a wide gap that can possibly lead to water damage. Any suggestions as to what we can do now?

- call another good window installer, and get a estimate to repair it. then you will have more info to work with. and know more about what they did wrong.
- What does the store manager have to say??? I think before you do anything you should contact the local inspection people from the building dept. Then a lawyer would likely be my next move
- Give the "reputable" home store a chance to make it right, even if you have to raise holy hell.
- Have a siding guy trim out the windows. This is very common during window replacement. However the company should have let you know they weren't finished.
- Go back to the home store and make them get it fixed. They recommended this contractor and they should stand behind the work.
