I am a new transcriptionist. I want to work from home. Am I considered an independent contractor?
How can I go about finding someone to work for that will work with me and has time to edit my work. As an self contractor is it my duty to edit my own and to find my own work?

- An independent contractor is some one who is not an employee. They receive a 1099 as a record for the payments received as opposed to a W-2 for an employee. As for editing etc. I do not think that has anything to do with being a independent contractor vs and employee.
