Home Improvement Contractor - Licensed Contractors

Anybody on this site know what a journeyman plumbing contractor does to earn a living?

I know that Obama doesn't. Things are different working in the trades. You get dirty and you gotta be ready to get out and find your own jobs everyday. You gotta pay for a lot of things after the homeowner or general contractor pays you. Inspectors need the liscence, not the fellow doing the work. Journeyman electricians, plumbers etc. usually serve an apprenticeship to learn the trade. It just doesn't work like peole with a cpa certificate. it is another world that college kids have no idea. Somebody has to do it.

  1. I listened to a radio interview with Joe the Plumber and in fact he had been attending a - I think 4 Year - course of study for the Plumber License however as he planned to start his final Semester, the school closed. Part of the License requirement is Five years on the job training and that he has just completed. He has decided to go straight on and take the Master Plumber License Test as he meets the prerequisites and he must have a Master's License to own a Plumber Business. I Hope this Helps!!
