Banks don't put lots of work into a foreclosed property but how do you become the person or contractor ?
to do the weatherization. Locally their are many foreclosed multifamilies. The banks have to take care of the building for the families that have paid their rents. How do I become the contractor to do these things for the banks. 1 door replacement per house x 5000 houses would keep me busy for a while

- you could try contacting the listing agent and get a messgae offering your services to the bank for repairs - otherwise, unless you know what bank owns what property, you're kind of stuck. Keep in mind, banks do not pay well either.
- The realtor they hire makes arrangements for all of the services needed on each property. So my suggestion would be for you to solicit those realtors that handle foreclosures.
- I am not sure where you got the idea that they replace all of the doors. They do not, they just nail them shut if there is a problem. Who you apply for work with is actually the real estate brokers. Talk to which ever one you work for a lot, they tend to stick with people they know. Typical jobs are haul out and winterizing, even in CA. You might add that you do those things to your states contractor board site, people often use them to search for contractors in an area.
- You have to apply at the "asset resource" company that the banks hire to manage the sale and maintenance. Start with Service Link in Kansas City who handle most of the western USA..
