How much do drywall returns cost on windows?

My contractor is trying to charge an arm and a leg for drywall returns on the windows of our new home. This is new construction. I've heard from others that $30 per window is a good rate. Anyone know?

  1. That depends on how many windows you are putting into the project if you are making it the bulk of his work then you are going to have to figure for your arm and your leg possibly. However if you are a pain in the backside and have been changing and changing things over and over then he's just tired of you and is only covering for what might happen. From the description you are indeterminable as to how I would answer. If your windows are extremely large then $30 won't even cover expenses, and please understand that contractors are in it for a profit and can't always work for free or pay you for their job. Good luck though it is a great time to be building you probably are getting the best deal already.
