Do you need a contractors license to be a project manager in California?
I was hired as an interior decorator for a homeowner who referred me to the license board (CA). They told me I was in violation of the contracting laws when I acted as a project manager when I referred contractors and purchased materials

- If you were selecting contractors and buying materials then you were acting not as a project manager, but as a general contractor, and needed a license. Richard
