Igot stiffed on job because the general contractor has filled bankruptcy?

I have a small drywall company and i just finished a job now the general contractor has filled bankruptcy and still owe me a lot of money. the job was finished and was turned over to the new owner who is now doing business how can i get paid, can i put a lien on the new company that is now doing business from the building?

  1. yes lien the job right away, lien the owners of the job not the new GC, but make sure you are a certified sub contractor with all licensing and insurance if you are not you can't do anything
