How do I get my tax information as an independent contractor?
I worked as an independent contractor for a company and that company and I separated. I no longer work for this company but I still need my tax information to fill out my income taxes. What form would my employer be sending to the IRS - would it be a 1099 ? How do I get this tax information? Is my former employer supposed to send it to me or do I have to request it?
