What is the per square foot cost for new residential construction in NE Florida?
I want to build a simple 2000 sq ft bungalow in St Augustine Florida. By simple, I mean real simple and I would do all of the finishing including all fixtures, flooring, painting, etc. All I need it a slab, frame and roof and wiring and plumbing. Contractors quote me between $175-$225. sq ft. Does it really cost $350,000 for a slab, four walls and a roof during this "recession"?
