what are HUD requirements for pier & post foundations / skirting?
several years ago I heard that it was necessary to upgrade the skirting around the base of my pier and post (floating) type foundatiion. the original skirting is just aesthetic. Is it true that in order qualify my house for FHA / VHA sale I need to upgrade to a steel structurally supportive foundation? If so are there any contractors in San Diego that know about this and will do it? How do I locate them, or even the specs on what needs to be done?
