Why does everything eventually become racial?

Youtube , Presidential elections , sporting events and even american idol. Sooner or later the racist comments come out of the woodwork and the sad thing is that these are people that we live amongst , work with and possibly even provide our basic services and medical care , its kinda scary to think that so many people want to call black people niQQers and other things and then go to work for the general public as cable contractors and daycare workers..how do we stop this?

1. Racism will continue to exist until we all realize that we're all people no matter our race/culture or religion.
2. the simplest solution is elminate racists. But that is not practical. The only way is to teach each generation that it is not right to use race as a scared. Take southern americans, a person born within the last 20-15 years will be the most progressive person compared to the grandparents who still have deep racial issues with the world. And only some of their parents would have issues most accept equality because they grew up during the civil rights movement.
3. Racism will continue until we realize as groups what people don't like about us, and then change it. That is part of what it takes to get along with others
4. RACIST!!! jk people just like to label things and put people they dont like down to feel better about them selves..... i don't think that it will really ever leave earth
5. its because the people that were discriminated on so many years ago still have a victim mentality. the great majority of white kids these days grow up in households that are taught that all humans are the same and color of the skin makes for no difference. i have a feeling that young ethnic children of this generation still pick up on the hostilities that their parents still have for us, which is unfortunate because its continuing the cycle further.
6. I wish i knew the answer but given the history of this country i don't see it ever getting better, people are more racist now than ever and it's showing esp. on Y!A where they can hide behind their avatars but yet go and work with a group of diverse people who don't have a clue that they have a deep hatred of them based on their race. The people who harbor these ill feelings towards other races need to take a look at why they feel this way and realize this country is made up of all races. It definitely has to start from within.
7. If I say, "I hate your church, what you stand for and how you dress..." It's possible you could change all that. If I discriminate your race... good luck. It's like saying, I don't care what you do to make our interactions better, I won't respect you or the folks you came from because I am too ignorant to accept our differences.
