Where can I get roofing shingles at a discounted price online?

Most online sites lead you to a contractor who wants to do the work for me. I just need a discount price for the roofing shingles.

1. locate your area yellow pages and find blg. materials see if there arent any salvage stores in your area . if not look at lowes or home depot for a style they are discontiuing and offer them .20 on the dollar for them . make sure to get extra at both of these places due to the fact they will be discontiued ond you probally wont find them if you run out or need to repair them in the future

There is not much of a profit in Shingles, so don't expect to find deep discounts, and you must consider Delivery to the Roof top- find someone who will deliver to the Roof- most suppliers have a Conveyer- Best to consult with the Roofer on where to buy the Shingles- as he will need to be there to help unload on the Roof. You best bet is probably to buy at Home Depot and use an installer they recommend- there are many fly by night scams out there.
3. It will be better to shop in the local yellow pages. On line advertising of roofing does not make sense. Most on line advertising is targeted nationally and depends upon shippers to complete the deal. The weight and low profit margin of roofing suggests most sellers will not rely on the Internet.
