Home Improvement Contractor - Licensed Contractors

Does Oklahoma require general liability insurance for contractors?

Public Comments

  1. For electrical and mechanical contractors, $50,000 liability insurance is required for an OKLA license. For "resident construction contractors", no license or insurance is required from the state.
  2. It's going to depend on the type of contractor. Usually, you need liability coverage, if you're going to pull permits - even if not from the state, but from the city.
