Public Liability Insurance Germany?
We are a recruitment currently based in the UK and are setting up a branch in Germany. In the UK we have to have Public Liability insurance for the contractors that we send out ... does anybody know if this is required in Germany - Berlin?

- Under an EU insurance directive your PL cover will work all across Europe but check the geographical limits of your policy to ensure you have a wide enough jurisdiction. It is almost certain your underwriters will wish to be aware of the wage-roll of the staff going there to gauge the risk and the type of work they will be undertaking. Speak to your intermediary at the insurers. xxFJ
- You need to contact a European broker with knowledge of German law relating to insurance laws in that country. EDIT: ____ With regards to what 'Fonejacker' says there is an element of truth in what he/she says. But without going into detail I don't think that's going to apply in your set of circumstances.
