Where can I look for a licensed, reliable contractor?

Hi, I am new to NY and am in the process of purchasing a two bedroom condo in the city. Where except Craig’s List can I look for a licensed, reliable contractor to renovate the bathroom and kitchen in my new condo? Thanks, Lana
