I am a contractor in Alabama and I am trying to determine a fair labor charge for hanging drywall.?
I will be hanging the drywall (and possibly finishing). The customer will purchase materials, so I need only bid on the labor. The house is 35000 sq. ft. I would appreciate any suggestions. I have not been able to find market value for this type of job. Of course, I could call around and get estimates, but today is Saturday and most contractors are not in the office and I need to get the bid in tomorrow.

- Just checking is this 35000 or 3500 sq feet? Anyway I know 30-40 per sheet is a decent rate. I mean make it cheaper if it is a lot of sheets. Like for instance 25 sheets = $40/sheet 50 sheets = $35/sheet and $30 for over 50 sheets. You could some up with a finishing fee per room factor that in per sheet.
- Labor for sheetrock is from .10 to .15 per sq ft of rock finishing and hanging is .35-.52
